It's Finally Spring

Spring is such a short season in Toronto that we have to take the time to savour it as much as possible. Soon we'll be sweltering in heat and humidity (*excited fist pump*). I didn't go anywhere exciting or do anything special; the following are snap shots I took on short walks around the neighbourhood and elsewhere in the city while running to and fro.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

    1. My fave thing about spring is that scent in the air of new growth. :)

  8. Lovely photos. :) They make me super happy. You know, even though dandelions are weeds... I love those fluffs. :)

What camera are you using now???

    1. I kind of love dandelions when they scatter a green field. :)

I just use a basic $100 Canon PowerShot. Auto focus for the win!!!

  10. Really lovely photos, Liz! The weather's been horrible here over the last couple weeks (really wet), so I haven't been able to get outside and enjoy the spring flowers. I can't wait for the warmer, sunnier weather now!

    1. It's supposed to be rainy here tomorrow but so far we've just had on and off overcast days. Hope it gets sunny over there soon!

    1. Man, I miss blogging from my bed. I put the hard drive of the destroyed net book into an old clunker that's on my desk now. This chair is uncomfortable. :<

I'll be waiting for those pics. I was having a really lazy & semi-depressing day when I got around to these but posting them made me feel a bit better.

  12. Gorgeous pictures! You can keep your heat and humidity though! Our spring blossoms have faded early (Spring came early because winter was so warm), and until the lilacs bloom, it will be plain-old green until June.

    1. I'll gladly take all your heat and humidity!

It's rainy season now but I don't mind because it's been such a dry winter. Green grass and leaves are always cheery, flowers or no.

  13. As always, spring has definitely come to Toronto earlier than Montreal, although we're getting there! Your photos show what an artistic eye you have Liz, and more than that, actually make me want to go for a walk and see what's lurking in my neighbourhood! My favourite has got to be the clouds -- I get mesmerized with clouds!

    1. I'm always looking at the sky, even when I'm jaywalking sometimes, lol. Clouds, stars, super moons... love them all.

I should learn to identify the flowers at some point but I'm content just to stare for time being. Would love to see spring in Montreal some time!

  15. Awww, all those pretty flowers make me feel so happy!! We don't have nearly that much blooming here, though hopefully after all this rain this week (boo) it'll be different LOL. On sunny days I can *just* picture what you're seeing here! Thanks for posting your 'to and fro' pics around town, Liz :)

    1. Now that my blog setting has been changed to accommodate extra large photos, I feel like posting anything that looks the slightest bit pretty. :) Hopefully you'll get those flowers soon!

  16. You live in Toronto!!! We should trade places-- you can take my Hawaii life, I'll take your Toronto life... I lived there for five years as a kid and I loved it. I love winter, and I love the winter beach!
