Here's another quickie nail post: Essie Sand Tropez

I have tons of nail pics that I never got around to posting, from as far back as maybe a year ago. While I remain busy and distracted this month, I'll post a few of these nail photos in between "real" posts. (The definition of "real post" is hazy but you can recognize it by the fact that those posts require much more of your attention.)

Anyhoo, here's Sand Tropez. For a boring polish, it's kind of pretty.

This is getting to be a bad habit, but here goes...

...I like it.

  1. Darn, your post totally reminded me that I FORGOT to grab this polish when I was grabbing a few othe Essie polishes the other day. I wanted this SO so badly. I know it's not really a dupe of Chanel Frenzy, but Frenzy put me in the mood for a similar shade and when I saw Sand Tropez, I fell in love. Must go back for this one...

    1. It's weird but Chanel Frenzy has zero pull for me. But I usually don't like Chanel's paler shades. Sand Tropez isn't particularly unique but it's a good neutral to have. Hope you can remember it the next time! ;)

  3. I'm with Tracy! These posts are quite entertaining!

    We love you, Lizbeth! :)

(I don't know why I called you Lizbeth... It's better than calling you Lizbob though, right? LIZBOB, I like it. I shall call you LIZBOB)

  4. Nice one too Liz! I've got a newie from Essence which may be similar so I'm gonna check mine out to compare. I think I gravitate more easily to beige/sand toned shades like these over true nudes so yes, I do like it - no more swearing from me today though, haha :)

    1. I'm not really on the lookout for a true nude but I figure I'll know it the day I see it, ya know? :) LOL, I'm going to make it a personal mission to make you swear over a nail polish at least twice a year. ;)

    1. Thanks, Emma! I think it was Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat over the polish.

  6. Seems the consensus is - we dig these posts Liz! It's a nice reprieve sometimes when our RSS feeds pile up and we are strapped for time. Love this shade, though it's too close to my Essie Jazz to pick up. Looking' good my dear!

    1. My stats tell me that the short polish posts actually aren't all that popular, but busy bloggers definitely seem to appreciate it! :> I just don't have all that much to say about nail polish sometimes. It applies okay and doesn't chip - that's all!

  8. Short and sweet us sometimes the way to go. I love polish shaded like this; they're so simple but i think they look kinda esgy at the same time.

    2. That's interesting - I didn't think of it as edgy at all but it was so long ago when I took this pic. :) Thanks, glad you like!

    1. I have a lot of Essies but I think it has more to do with the cute clear square bottles than anything else. This is a good one though - it matches our DIOR ST. TROPEZ!

  10. LOL the NOTD post for 'those days.' I love this shade, have yet to try any Essie polishes, but I'm starting to build up a GIANT wishlist. Looks great on your fingers, and so very beachy :)

    1. Definitely! It's really handy when you don't want bare nails but can't be bothered to coordinate with anything else.

  12. I like it too. No, I think I love it. Yes, I do...it's like the creamiest-looking latté....and Liz? It's not boring, certainly not on you! :)

  13. I know what you mean by boring, but by the same token I really like those sort of shades. I never have that moment when I'm staring at my nails going, "why did I do that..." I've had the same moment with men, you know why was I interested in him. It's usually followed by a shaking head with a thud as I smack some sense into myself. But with something so complimentary you can never go wrong.

    1. I have a hard time loving a single nude for longer than two wears. It's a problem.

I also have a problem with men but the reverse of your issue. Mine's more like, "Why DIDN'T I do that???" LOL
